China’s First RISC-V+AI+Post-Quantum Automotive MCU Chip Debuts – CCRC4XXX Series

China’s domestic automotive electronics leader, C*Core Technology (688262.SH), has completed internal testing of its CCRC4XXX series – the country’s first RISC-V-based high-performance automotive AI MCU featuring post-quantum cryptography (PQC) .

Built for Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) , the chip delivers open-source RISC-V architecture, multi-core high performance, on-chip AI, automotive-grade security, and efficient data routing. It targets body, chassis, powertrain, cross-domain, and central domain controllers.

  • Compares to Infineon TC4Dx and Renesas U2A, with nearly double the compute

  • CCRC4045S192B4: 4+2 cores, 400MHz, 5,600 DMIPS for body, BMS, zonal controllers

The CRV6 RISC-V cores support double-precision FPU, SECDED ECC, and hardware virtualization (HS/VS/VU modes, Multi PMP, sMPU) for safe multi-system isolation – ideal for one-chip multi-domain control in SDV.

As an open RISC-V product, it has no instruction set licensing restrictions, allowing automakers and Tier-1 suppliers to rapidly iterate and customize software, cutting development cycles and costs.
